WELA Donates Computers to St. Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure

On 22nd April 2025, the Founder of Women Empowerment and Legal Aid (WELA), Mrs. Funmi Falana, SAN, made a generous donation of desktop computers and laptops to St. Louis Girls Grammar School, Akure, in furtherance of WELA’s commitment to promoting girl-child education and digital inclusion.

The donation was aimed at equipping the school’s ICT section and enhancing the digital literacy of its students. With access to these tools, the girls at St. Louis will be better prepared to compete in an increasingly technology-driven world and pursue careers in science, technology, and innovation.

Mrs. Falana reiterated WELA’s belief that empowering young girls with education and skills is the most effective way to break the cycle of poverty and gender inequality. She encouraged the students to make good use of the resources provided and remain focused on their education.

WELA remains committed to its mission of empowering women and girls through legal aid, education, and economic support.
